Things I'll miss...

There are things that I'm going to miss about my current house, my village and environs, so I thought I would blog about a few of them, more for me than anyone else, but I'll keep it public with the assumption that it might interest someone. I am going miss my enormous, claw-footed tub.
Many an evening, and afternoon, too, I've floated and snorkeled and relaxed and read in a froth of bubbles, oftentimes with dozens of candles flickering. Last night I added rose petals to the mix. Très nice. (Yes, that is a bidet in the bottom right of the pic.  No, I don't use it.)

Gorgeous bathroom... though I'm sure not as gorgeous as the place you'll be (hey, I can;t go making you feel homesick already, right?

I like the window right by the tub, too. I mean, yeah, lechery abounds, but it'd be nice to be able to look out it assuming no one else can look in at the same time.

Yeah, I have curtains just in case. ;-)

*boggle* Why not?

I got the chance to use a bidet for three days. I loved it!

I wish I had one in my house, especially during TTotM.

How could you not use the bidet?

Actually, I probably would have if its faucet/tap was of a different construction. It is just a button type thing covering the hole, so the water trickles out and is somewhat of a pain to gather. You basically have to fill the whole thing up to use it. Several houses in France have them, so I have used them, just not this one. And they are quite handy.

I keep thinking that at least once I should use it as a footbath.
