Hello and Happy New Year.

2016 was a busy year, full of good and bad. Too much to sum up, even. A few things in no particular order because how can one classify things like this:

We gave birth to Ti'Loup, who is now 7.5 months old.
My mother was diagnosed with esphogal cancer.
My grandmother died.
I wrote a Middle Grade fantasy novel.
We found a house to buy in France (our offer was accepted on New Year's Eve; we have yet to sign the papers).

2017 is the year we leave Egypt and come home, the year we have to declare that we are unschooling Sprout, the year I need to get my picture book finished...

We're in France now, and everyone is sick, so I don't have much energy. I looked back through LJ, but I don't have the energy to comment on everything. Sending good vibes and get well wishes to those of you who need them.

Very sorry to hear about your mother--I hope she's getting good care.

Can NOT believe it's been over seven months since Ti'Loup's birth!

That's good news about the house. Rest up. I'm sending lots of love and get well wishes *your* way, as your family could do with them.

(...and I can't believe it's just 7.5 months since Ti'Loup was born. It seems like he's been there always - although the logical part of my brain points out that he's still a baby, and babies tend to... well grow... fast. :p)

I'm so sorry to hear that everyone is sick.

Congratulations on being back in France! I hope you love your new house and that you're all very happy there.

Sorry to hear about your mother. And about your grandmother's death. ::HUGS::

Congrats on writing the MG novel. That's amazing!

Happy New Year!

Sorry to hear about your mothers health. Cancer is hard, whatever the outcome. And my condolences for losing your grandmother.

You will have a busy year ahead, it seems.

And thank you very much for your comment for the Bible studies. It IS hard to get my head around, as Bible is just a book for me. I do believe the ability for religious belief is something genetic and I simply lack the gene for it. I have not chosen to be an atheist, I was born that way.

I was lucky not to be raised as religious - it would have been painful. Just as painful as my gender problems are - I feel like impostor all the time. At least now my questioning of my atheism (because it is human to question ones beliefs) was something I did as adult (for time considering myself an impostor, so calling myself and agnostic, knowing I am too stupid to be an atheist).

But by now I have accepted that being atheist is not a disability - it is who I am and I cannot change this.

So sorry to hear about your mom and grandmother. So much life and death in the same year.

But welcome home and may your new home bring you much happiness.
