Is the woodpecker quite large?
They are compared to the sparrows (which wikipedia tells me there is a difference between New World and Old World sparrows!) and the chaffinches; they are 20–24 cm (7.9–9.4 in) long, which is slightly smaller than a blue jay.

What do the different shades represent in your map of places you've been?

The darkest color is where I was born, the bright pink where I have lived, and the purplish majority color is places I have been/visited.
