Monday already?

Despite less-than-super lagoon conditions, [profile] mana_triniand a few of his colleagues went spearfishing today, so that meant I got the house to myself for fun-'n-games cleaning. I got everything done except the mopping, but that is a *quiet* chore and I can do it in the morning while J is sleeping (he gets off work at 7:00). For the first time in several months, he is back to patroling on the boat. Today--tonight, rather--starts his three-day cycle.

So, while he was out on the tossing sea, looking for our supper, I did the aforementioned cleaning, scads of laundry, made that cd of photos for Sakina, resized and uploaded other photos, worked on [profile] slmcgaw's business logo (mostly brainstorming and testing out ideas), and chatted with her and [personal profile] frigg. Still haven't done any writing, but I'll get to that as soon as I post this.

J came home a little after 4pm with three fish: a grouper, a parrot fish, and one I don't know the name of in English. I took the parrot fish to Sakina and asked her to make us "poisson coco" for tomorrow's lunch. That way I won't be banging pans around while J is trying to sleep. That's the reason I gave myself anyway. *lol*  Sakina is a great cook, and any excuse to have her prepare a Mahorais dish for us is a good one.

After J rinsed his hunting material, we went to B&N's house, ostensibly to make sure it hadn't been burgled, but really to take hot showers and sip hot chocolate on their terrace while watching the sun set. A relaxing end to a productive day. Now I've got to get those words written.

hot chocolate and sunsets - now that is the good life.
