Piratic Birthday Aventure Pics

These weren't taken today, except for the map, but they'll give you an idea of the area and a few of the Story Elements.

The Inciting Incident
-- The Arrival of the Map:

Our Protagonist -- The Handsome Hero, hiking along the crater ridge:

Where the Adventure Takes Place -- Lac Dziani (or as it was called back in the swashbuckling days of pirates, mutiny, and battles upon the high seas:  Le Lac du Lave Verte):

An Additional view of the Setting to give the Dear Readers an idea of the depth of the crater (and because this author happens to like Worldbuilding):   (This last photo makes me think of The Lost World every time I look at it.)

Just awesome. You live in a truly beautiful place.

It is indeed beautiful. I just wish that the natives cared for it more, not in the sense of tending--though that is important, too--but in the sense of appreciating its splendor.

:D

Yeah, I can picture a few T-Rexes crashing around in all of that. *delicious shudder*

You're such a good/talented/creative wife. David's last birthday? He had to make his own cake. And I gave him a kitchen appliance. O.O

*shudders, too*

At least his cake was good, right? :P Not saying you couldn't have made a good one. *lol

I haven;t made a cake from scratch for... about as long as I've had kids, i think. I used to be such a snob before then. No cake mixes for me, no sirree. Now? Be glad you're getting a cake at all.

LOL. I don't even know when the last time was that I made a cake. I tend to make more cookies and brownies since they are easier for J to take to work.
