Cardigan - It never goes to plan, does it?

So,  like I said, I started the cardigan Tuesday night.  The starting foundation stitches gave me a pretty long chain, but knowing projects "shrink" as you add rows, I kept going with it.

And going.

I am now pretty convinced that the cardigan is going to be too big.  I now have the oh-so-annoying dilemma of frogging it and starting over or just continuing and knowing it will be extremely baggy. :( I am only done with 12 of 42 rows (before having to decrease), so not even close to halfway up the back, but still.  And the size below is 14 stithces less per row, which will be about 4"/10cm less-wide that what I have now.

What to do, what to do...

I didn't set the white balance for the camera (don't know how to do that on my phone), but the color is a lot more yellow than I would have liked.  Not really sure this color is going to look nice on me.  Internet shopping is great, but being able to see stuff in person is a lot better.

I only just learned the term "frogging" yesterday from my crochet-doing daughter. Good luck with that decision--I know how frustratingly hard it can be to choose to undo and start over... and how frustrating it can be to create something that you strongly suspect (or know) is going to be unsatisfactory, so ... yeah.

And yeah, I strongly agree with you about internet shopping :-\

I think you made the right decision!! Crazy to spend all the time and not have a wearable garment.

Yeah--I agree. I don't have a headache but I don't **quite** have enough interest to do the search.

The story is that it's because you rip it, rip it, which is like ribbit, which is a frog sound word. So instead of calling it ribbeting, frogging.

People be weird, ya? ;)

I mean if we were smart, it'd be we pull it apart and pull it apart, and we could call it party party instead. Much nicer than frogging, no offense to frogs. ;)

The yarn looks great on my monitor. I once bought a cream coloured fluffy blouse. When it arrived it was yellow. C says I look like a chicken in it, but it's sooo comfy. :p

Oh, and yellow is my favourite colour, so there's that as well.

I guess I could have chosen to interpret it that way, had it not been for his nose-wrinkling. :p
