Tomorrow begins the next round of [profile] novel_in_90, and marks the time I start back up with Witherwilds. Out of the 16K I already wrote for it, I may be able to salvage a couple thousand, but I'll write it all from scratch and check it against the first version.  I've spent the days since the 18th doing research, naming, brainstorming (*waves to Brainz*), and plotting. For the first time ever, I think, I used index cards to organize my scenes. The operation was only semi- successful since the Terror on Three Legs decided she disagreed with the way I had them laid out.

Despite her nefarious efforts, I got a flow that will more or less work, or at least give me the basic layout of the first book. Still lots of room to wing it and please my organic-craving, seat-of-the-pants, spontaneity-loving heart.

That cat is way enthusiastic! Looks like she's shredding one of your scenes. Tough reviewer, is she?

Everyone's a critic. Sheesh.

She clearly does not appreciate whatever plotpoint is on that card. I'd take her opinion under advisement if I were you.

Yeah. She thinks that scene is totally unnecessary. :P

P.S. Only because you don't live with her. :P

And you wanted me to take her. *snort*

I think that was the plot card for, "And the three-legged mutt dies." She may be on to something. >:}

True to form, I realised yesterday that I was about to start this round WITH NO PLOT! Again.

I think I could have done with the assistance of the Terror on Three Legs - maybe she could have brought your excess scenes to me?

Bwahaha! Old habits die hard. ;-) I have holes in my plot, but that's all right. I've got the big lines down, and those now-annoying gaps should give me just the wiggle room I need to get creative.

Ooooh, I know! I'll pack her up and send her along to you with those extra cards. You always wanted a cat, specifically one with three legs, no? >:}
