Bye Bye, Supper!
30 Aug 2008 09:55 amYesterday, my dear fellow and I left a snapper in the sink to thaw --a whole fish that weighed 300-500g.
Last night, I went down to filet the fish for supper.
The sink was empty.
The plastic bag the fish had been in was on the sidewalk, just by the porch.
The fish was nowhere in sight.
Stupid, stupid humans, doing such a thing when hungry strays with a known food-snatching record are constantly slinking about!
As I heard many times during my childhood...That'll learn me.
Let this be the wisdom of the day: Don't do as the aformentioned idiots idiotically did, unless it is your intention to encourage strays to lurk about your kitchen. </end wisdom>

Date: 30 Aug 2008 05:43 pm (UTC)Yeah, because here I am, laying the blame on that ratty ol' calico stray, and it might, just might, be the black-n-white tom. Or, given that there were no bloody tracks on the floor, indicating the sack had been dragged, maybe the culprit was much bigger than a cat...
Be careful of laughing in public. I've heard they've hauled people to the bedlam for less. :P
