Sans voix

This morning, I woke up feeling fine. Wonderful news considering I went to bed with a splitting headache, a slight sore throat, a nose that felt like someone had used it as a punching bag, and swollen glands in my armpits.

When I looked in the mirror, I noticed an odd puffiness to each side of my neck, just above my collar bones, but, like I said, I felt pretty good. I came downstairs, did my yoga and meditation, had breakfast...and, right in the middle of it, lost my voice.

I continue to feel ok, but here it is, after lunch, and still no voice. The puffiness is still there, but the red, swollen glands are gone.

Guess I'll see what I feel like tomorrow before calling the doc.

Anyone else ever had these same symptoms?

ETA: Oh, yes, forgot to mention something. This is connected to the headache I'm sure, but last light, while watching television, I had a very bizarre line (curved like a squashed, cursive capital L filled with myriad colors) squiggling and flashing across my left eye. Just suddenly appeared, warping the objects that it lay across. :-/ Migraine, methinks.

Happens to me sometimes when the air is too dry, but I don't know if the concept of dry air even exists in Mayotte.

So, I dunno!

Hope you get your voice back and continue to feel fine.

Hehe. Yeah, dry air is not something we suffer from! :P

And thanks. :)

Never tried any of it, but it sounds like some kind of virus/infection.

The eye thing could definitely sound like migraine. :(

Ugh, I don't want viruses or infections!

Take them away; take them away, I say! :(

Def head to the doc if you're not feeling better tomorrow. Strange headaches and puffiness and eye-stuff is not to be messed with!

*nods* I'm thinking I don't need to pull my normal "ah, it'll pass" routine this time.

I've never experienced it myself, but I've read that visual disturbances can accompany migraines. Hope you get rid of all of these afflictions real soon!
