In His Hands

 It's an old litany of mine--internal though it usually is--but I have got to get in shape. Especially now that we have this huge trip, where we hope to do lots of hiking, on the horizon.

But being me--a person with passions that encourage a sedentary lifestyle--I have a hard time getting up and following through with my good exercise  intentions.

That's why I've named my husband my personal trainer and given him free rein to boss me around. It'll likely be a heady experience for him, but I trust he won't abuse me too much.

I took my measurements today (and J took his). No, I will not be posting them; they are just to give me a tangible progress meter. No weighing was done. This is really about getting fit, not trying to reach some "ideal" weight.

 Let the torture begin.
