Snippet Sunday

A week gone, and I did not write a single word on my manuscript. Ah well, there is always next week.

I did a couple of watercolor paintings this time around:


First a value study, using only one color...well, the darkest area has a hint of a neutral shade to deepen it:



Then a copy of a painting. I really need to work on nailing colors. The original had much richer colors:


And last, a monochrome of Sancerre, where we used to live in France, done in yellows and then overlaid with touches of blue to create green.  Fun experiment:
