Being Studious in Batroun

We are on holiday in Batroun, north of Beirut, for our wedding anniversary.*  I have been spending a lot of time combing the beach for pebbles, taking photos, contemplating compositions, realizing I won't be happy trying to do an acrylic painting with child-grade acrylics, and otherwise doing art while my kids explore tidal pools, chase crabs, and make their own rock collections and my husband does his spearfishing.

We are about to have to check out of the guesthouse, so just a quick sampling of some stuff I have done:

Today we leave for a nearby campground to spend the night with friends.
