I just wanted to say how very deeply I understand this phase you are going through--because it is just a phase, a phase of mood, as you say--and I know how gutting it is to create and then feel like all you've accomplished is smearing a bit of muck around.
I go through these rollercoaster up and downs of creative self-judgement, from the peaks of adequacy to the deepest, muddiest dips that are the...Swamp of Despair (thank you The Neverending Story for that term).
I've been so well-intentioned about getting chapter 2 to you, but muddy is pretty much the way the writing feels these days. :P
