The Saga of Molar 47, "The End" End?

 Today, I had molar 47 pulled, after almost a year of battling with it, which involved 4 rounds of antibiots and a root canal.  On Saturday, the tooth broke, leaving the dentist no choice but to pull it.  May I say that the sound of break teeth is a very awful sound?  And the repeated sound of breaking teeth is more awful still.  I did not appreciate it in the least. :P  It turns out, the tooth was infected again.  Which leaves me fearful, but I still will proclaim:

I hope this is The End end of Molar 47.

Ugh... sounds like a situation where it would have been good with earphones with stories/music.

Yoiks! I went through that about 3-4 years ago. Decidedly unpleasant. May the rest of your teeth behave!

heh... I was thinking it would have worked as a distraction. I've only had one of my baby teeth pulled. It cracked while the dentist was pulling it. I just remember it hurt, but no scraping sound, but then of course adult teeth will obviously be more wedged in there. :p

He had to break the remainder of the tooth into several pieces and then pry each out, drilling in between (now there is a lovely smell, akin to burning hair), and then fish the fragments out before they slipped down my throat. Without Covid, he probably would have let me spit them out myself in the little sink, but that is not allowed with the virus.

And that sounds absolutely unpleasant. Ugh.
