One thing that makes me so sick is that they repeatedly stated during the meeting that parents and kids needed to fear their inspection. Fear is a great motivator, isn't it? After all, it *is* the basis of this law, which was first named "Loi contres les separatismes" (meaning radical Islam) then changed to "loi confortant le respect des principes de la République" (so comforting to know that the Republic finds liberty discomfitting) : Stop the Radical Muslims before they all come blow us up. Yes, that is the law frame into which the homeschooling has been slotted. We are a menace to society.
