Oh wow, M, I'm so sorry, that's terribly terribly hard! The thought of you completely incapacitated while on your own with the kids in France is really distressing--I'm so sorry. I'm glad that now at least you're back with J. I hope the injection *does* kick in and provide relief.
Your painting is so gorgeous. The luminous pale pink of the sky, the way you've captured exactly how the water reflects it--I love it. And not just that, but the solidity of the boat (the paint peeling in places!), the light on the men's shirts, the green on the shore--just everything.
