Culinary heaven

I have a pot of mango and litchi chutney simmering on the stove, footlingagain's fabulous ginger muffins baking in the oven, and a spicy duck rougail (prepared by my loving man) waiting to be supped on.

Ah, life is good.

There goes the timer. Must be the moment for a cuppa and a muffin or two.

Gingery goodness is a theme today.

I did ginger biscuits - and only burned half of them! And gingerbread - very sticky but rather good, if I do say so as shouldn't. Good grief - a culinary success???

Why doesn't Julien like it more? I don't like baking only for myself, but he isn't too keen on it. So the muffins today? Yep, for me, just lil ol' me.
