Enjoy the Ride - Morcheeba featuring Judie Tzuke. I love. Repeat feature enabled. This is the kind of music I can write to. It vibrates something inside of me and makes me feel like I'm the verge of discovery.

Does anyone know/have any other music by Tzuke?

I had her first album, years and years ago, called "Welcome to the Cruise". UI bought it because I fell in love with one track - For You. Glorious voice - I think she was rather lost in the huge punk movement that overtook the UK just as she was launching. On the other hand, Kate Bush did all right.

Yep, that's it exactly. She makes me think of some old folk singers, but there's nothing outdated about the sound.

You might like to catch up with the new generation of English folksingers coming through - people like Rachel Unthank and the Winterset, Bella Hardy and Ruth Nottman. To say nothing of Seth Lakeman, or Megson.

Try listening to the BBC - my favourite programmes are Folkwaves and Mike Harding - and this week's Folkwaves (available till next Monday on the web) have an interview with Bella Hardy.

I would love to, but with my miserable net connection, it is more of a pain than a pleasure. Everything is broken up and stacatto. *wails*

Actually I just looked her up on Google and was surprised at her discography and how long she's been around. I'm not sure I've ever heard any of her other songs before, and I know her name doesn't speak to me.

It's funny, I was thinking about that album a couple of weeks ago. I still have it buried somewhere.

You might like Kate Rusby, too. I don't know her stuff very well but the bit I've heard I really like.

She's on my "When I have some spare money" list ;)

I like getting stuff of priceminister.com because music is soooooooo expensive in France (don't know about the UK), but it is a royal pain to have it shipped here. Still, I need to keep a list of what I want for that happy day when I can place an order.
