It was an odd game, wasn't it? I'm pleased for Wales, though - what a comeback after the World Cup!
I was surprised that the French coach had put out such a disparate team - the poor guys hardly seemed to know what each other were doing. One or two flashes of what they could be, but they just couldn't keep it all together. Sorry :(
But Italy! Aw... So happy to win! I've never seen a team so happy, even though they finished at the bottom of the table. A well-deserved victory that brought huge smiles in the Footling household.
Yes, the Faure household was happy about the Italy win, too.
Even though I'm naturally for the French team, Wales deserved to win from a purely objective point of view. The French, as you said, just couldn't seem to get their act together, and it reminded me rather painfully of a few of the WC matches.
Wales definitely needed such a comeback after their WC showing.
