Y'all have just been hoping and hoping I'd post another moon picture, right? Yeah, I thought so. Here you have it setting, in its golden glory,  behind Mbouzi, an island that is a dedicated reserve for lemurs; the lighter mountains in the background are part of Grande Terre. The pretty "star" on the water just beneath the moon is the light of a fisherman's pirrogue.

[livejournal.com profile] kmkibble75 , I worked on icons with the other photo, but it just doesn't look as nice in a small format. :(

Thanks. It's far from being a perfect picture, but I just loved how pretty the fisherman's light looked. :P I love The Shiny. Guess that why Julien calls me a magpie.

Thank ye. I'm going to have to work on composition, though. The moon was sinking so fast, I was just in a panic to capture it and didn't pay enough mind to the rest of the elements.

Practice, practice.

I fairly often use the maximum dpi and then trim a bit, if I'm off center or got extraneous stuff along some edge or another. For example, in my puppy photo that I just put up on the JPG Mag. site, I had to trim a lot off the top, because I'd gotten the bottom of the shed there, when I wanted just grass.

*nods* I have been known to trim here and there! :D

Ah well, at least you tried!

Maybe I can get something decent with this new batch of photos. I'll share what I get and see if you like anything.

Now I just have to remember to make time to do it. ;)
