I have some money that is just begging to be spent on books. Anyone out there have some recommendations they would like to share with me?

If you've read a book you highly recommend to others, please let me know along with a little note as to why you liked it.

Thanks

Fiction or non-fiction? I haven't picked up a fiction book in ages that drew me in. The last non-fiction book I read all the way through was Matt Ridley's The Red Queen: Sex and the Evolution of Human Nature. It's an interesting read on its own but even better if you're a writer who's always tinkering with her characters to make their motivations more realistic. ;)

Thanks for the recommendation. It came a little late for the whopping order I just placed with Amazon, but I'll put it on my list for later. I can *always* use help making character motivations more realistic. :D
