It's really real and he's really gone

I was too tired to share this last week, but:

DOWNSTAIRS SMOKER BOY MOVED OUT!

No more stink in my house.

No more closing the bedroom windows during the day in hopes of keeping the smoke out.

No need to sleep with the bedroom door closed to keep the smell of smoke from seeping in during the wee hours.

No more loud music at all hours.

No more loud films/video games at 1 a.m.

And our landlady has sent three tradesmen to do estimates to change the windows. If the new windows and door can be ordered/delivered in time, the work just might be done before Little Bean's arrival.

They painted the outside of my house the week I brought my son home. Oh, the stink! But it was military housing, and they will do as they will do, eh? I wish you much luck in the timing of the new windows - you can't, after all, do much about the Bean's arrival. *g*
