Gotta love that French admin...

Contrary to what the préfecture here in France led me to believe, I do *not* need a visa to go to Mayotte...that's what the admin in Mayotte says anyway. So, all that stress, running around, paperwork, etc. was, in essence, for nothing. Just in case, the lady who helped me complete my dossier is sending me a copy of Mayotte's response for me to show at the airport as proof of my right to travel there.

Aïe aïe aïe

I am, however, relieved that the situation resolved itself this way instead of the alternative...waiting two months for a visa and not getting to leave with J--or, even worse, having to buy another plane ticket.

Well, I'm glad it worked out in the end! If something goes wrong, is there a possibility of stealing an ice cream truck and heading down?

I'm keeping my eyes peeled for one. I don't see many ice cream trucks, but I might be able to steal a pizza mobile. >:)
