Albania!

WOOOOOOOOOOHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Ahem, sorry. Just a wee bit excited.

Julien got his first short-term mission posting in Tirana for two months, beginning Dec. 2.  (This is why I was faxing papers this morning.) He will have a flat while there, so S and I are going to go stay with him for 6 of the 8 weeks. He'll then have a month of hols once he gets back.  Which means:

We will let the rental go (no point in paying 3 months rent), and that means another move, albeit a small one, and then having to find something else if this place is rented out when we get back. Still.  WOOT!  Small hurdles that we shall gladly jump.

Gezur Krislinjden, everyone! :D

Yes, trotting away! I have to; you wouldn't want me to have to change my default
lj icon, would you? :P

Oh no, obviously that's the only reason why you do it. To keep the icon. ;)

Could there be another reason!?

I know! I really hope we have a very white Albanian Christmas.

At least in Albania there is a chance of snow. I think I would have cried if he had said we had to spend Christmas in the tropics.

Surely an Albanian winter ensures a white Christmas!

I hereby vow to try to be a good reporter, but Julien says that he's not sure how things will work with the net. He'll have it at work, but I'll have to rely on cyber cafés most likely.

My husband spent two summers of his youth in Albania and LOVES it. I keep wanting to go, the way he talks about it! I'm jealous! *whimpers*

That's awesome about your husband. Does he have any advice for us?

If you want, you can come for a visit. :D I don't know how big the apartment is that we will have, but we can always make do. :D

We wander and wander and wander. :P

It's hard to stop once you start, I think, even though certain family members might prefer that we settle down (in France for some, the States for others), especially now that we have the Sprout.

More travelling! Yay!

S is going to have quite a bit of mileage under her belt by the time she starts school, especially if you start counting from the time of her conception! ;-)

Albanian Christmas - wow......

hehe. Yes, she certainly is. And to think, so many people told us, "Well, now that you've had S, your traveling days are over."

*snort*

I always said you would just pack her up and take her with you. Who says you have to settle for one spot after the babies start coming. Gypsies have been doing it for centuries.

Some people say it, but obviously they are wrong. ;)

Can you email me your address again, Robin? I have it but in my address book, which is packed away somewhere.

Tell A and C congratulations. :D
