Here in Albania, J and I mooch off of an unlocked wifi connection--I think it comes from a nearby hotel/internet café.  For the past week, service has been very unreliable, hardly allowing me to connect and when I do, only if I'm sitting at the table in the very corner of the dining room.

So, I'm here. Sometimes.  I have read my flist, but it is hard to stay connected long enough to comment on everything.  Sorry about that.

What are you doing in Albania, visiting? Or is Albania the name of the town you live in, and you normally have bad internet connection?

Sorry it took me awhile to get back to you, but I guess you aren't surprised by that given the subject of this post. :P

My husband is on a short-term mission guarding the French embassy here in Tirana, capital of Albania. Because he is renting a small apartment, we let our rental go in Le Teich (where we were in France before coming here), so that my daughter and I could come and stay with J. Because we are only here for two months, we didn't want to go through the hassle of paying for a connection, and there was no need for the first couple of weeks when we were mooching with no difficulty. :P

You have no idea the headache you created for Julien with this comment. He offered to read me my emails over the phone (he has a connection at work). When he started spelling it out, I figured it was a joke, but still. :P
