If LJ has enough sense to realize something is sp*m, why should I have to receive a notification for the crap?

For some reason I only ever get Japanese comment spam (which seems to come in waves - a month of not allowing anonymous comments kills it dead. Until the next time.)

Ugh...yeah, that's the advantage of locking everything. I cannot remember the last time I got spam, maybe one or two in 2011 on some old posts.

I lock most of my posts. When I leave one open, I don't get spam too often, but if it happens, it's almost always in Russian. No idea why, since obviously I'm typing in English.

if LJ really knows it's spam, you're right -- they should just delete it for you.
