[livejournal.com profile] asakiyume made a lovely, poetic post this morning that reminded me of these photos I've been meaning to post for, oh, over a month now.  :-/

I've mentioned before that I live on the borders of Land, Sea, and Sky, but somedays, it is hard to tell where one realm begins and the others end. It is a special kind of Bermuda Triangle.

If you go walking on the cliffs of a morning, take care where you set your feet, unless you have wings to lift you, or fins and gills to save you if you fall...
sky waves

Layers of rock. Land longing to become one with water, one with air? Or a tactic of the land to encroach on realms where it does not belong?
land and sea

the sea and sky

Beware the fog. Sometimes Sea and Sky join forces to confound the Landed.

In some places, the Landed have built seawalls, but they cannot do completely without the water, and the Sky laughs at such measures.

A video of the song I was listening to while making this post:

I like the ripples in the rock echoing the ripples on the sea, as though the water was petrifying as it reaches the shore. And also, in the last picture, how the sea wall hits the literal walls of the sea.

What a lovely way of seeing it. I adore how we all have different thoughts when we see something. What wondrous beasts, our creative minds. :D

The video for the song you were listening to is beautiful. The light shining through the feathers they attach to the boat, their solemn faces, the little girl's hand as she lies asleep on the map... very evocative, all of it.

I love your second-to-last photo... the cloud resting on the water, the grass like eyelashes.

lovely icon you have there

That video makes me want to build a boat of fortune with S. I enjoy all of her stages, but oh what fun we'll have when she gets old enough to make with me instead of unmake. :P

thank you!

M, it just gets more and more beautiful--the video. The images. I'm taking a thousand and one screen shots. I'll give you icons when I'm done. And... I didn't realize at first, but the children are on that boat of dreams too. Setting off in a boat woven of found things and wishes. ... Gonna have to repost, the beauty's just too much.
