I keep meaning to take and upload photos of all the Christmas decorations we've been making, but every time I think to do it, it is late at night, which means bad light and a lethargic me.  I guess it will have to wait until tomorrow...or after Christmas.  I really should take some photos of our first Christmas in Cairo.

However, I do have a bit to share from my story this week.  After reading about msisolak's hard drive woes, I started backing up my writing, to an external hard drive and to Google Docs.  While copying stuff, I started fiddling. Here is a bit from Lelo's POV:

    Priva murmured, almost to herself, “I’ve always wondered if there wasn’t something wrong with you because of that second bite.”
    A noise in the garden made Lelo glance over her shoulder, but the window screens blocked her view. If Draa had been spying on her… “I should be going.”
    “That’s my sapient.” Priva leapt up, face aglow with eagerness.
    “I’ll just leave you—”
    Priva grabbed Lelo’s shoulder, her fingers curling insistently into the hollow above Lelo’s collarbone. “Nonsense. You haven’t even drunk your tea yet.”

This really is such an excellent-seeming story! I'd love to see the whole thing too, when (and if) you feel like sharing.
