That is what Sprout says, and I couldn't agree more.

If you can spare them, please think some good thoughts and prayers our way. Like I said before, I don't set my heart on due dates,* but my ob-gyn said she will give me 10 days (only 6 to go now) before we need to talk (proceed to, if you ask her) about an induction.  I really want Junebug to come on his or her own.

So, yeah.  Come out, Junebug!

I wrote a letter to the tall one, asking him to please come out. The ninja girl was right on time. Little Springtime, we thought she was coming on time, so went to the hospital--but it was false labor, and I came home again, at which point I kind of ended up thinking, "Oh, well, I guess I'm not having a baby after all"--even while recognizing that of course she had to be coming very soon! (And did.) The healing angel was induced in some way, though now I can't remember whether they just broke the waters or gave me some drug in addition. I do remember them then wanting to do some other thing and my saying, "But the labor's going fine now, why do we need to?" and the doctor getting all huffy and asking DID I KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO PATIENTS WHO DONT LISTEN TO THEIR DOCTOR?? And me being like, Really? You're really going to try this on me, now? But I think I won (so to speak), because my recollection is that then NO ONE came in to see me until the healing angel was pretty much crowning.

Maybe as I type this, you're in labor.

Junebug **will** come out. If it gets to the day when you have to talk about inductions, just ask if you can [demand that they] do the least intrusive, least chemically altering thing first, and see if it's enough. No need to dial things up to 100 if it's not necessary.

But mainly--Junebug, please come out!!
