From the very beginning of our stay here in Egypt I've been fascinated and impressed by the various ways water is provided for the public at large. I've planned on taking a series of photos to highlight these methods but have yet to do it. Today's picture is actually courtesy of my husband, so thanks, J. :P One of these days I'll get around to taking my own pics.

What a great thing--I never knew this cool fact about Egypt, and I never would have dreamed it up in my imagination. How great! Is it done in other countries, do you know?

I don't know if any other countries do it; I don't remember seeing it before, but it could be that I didn't know what to look for. :)

I have no idea, but I'll try to ask when I take some more photos. My success will depend on whether or not people around speak English because, unlike you, I never got off my tush to learn Arabic. :P
