Semi-good:

1) J's request to have his contract extended has been signed and approved by the ambassador, so it is pretty much official that we'll be staying in Egypt until 31 July 2017.

Now for the good:

2) After two refusals on their part, Air France has at last agreed to reimburse us after breaking our stroller. Hallelujah.  What a big relief. Without a car, we're going to need a stroller even more badly since we'll be getting around on foot.

On the semi-good news front, well, it's good to be able to plan for the future?

On the good-good news front, I'm glad someone at Air France finally chose to do the right thing. Wish you hadn't had to fight for reimbursement though.

Yes, it is a privilege, actually, to be able to consider our future like we do.

And yes to the stroller. All it took was 5 minutes on the phone with the right person. I guess it didn't hurt that J called from work and got to say where he was calling from. o.O

Finally! There really shouldn't have been an issue regarding the stroller in the first place. They broke it, they can pay for it.

And two years more in Egypt... I hope it all works out for you, and that these last two years will improve.

That's the way we see it with the stroller, but knowing they took 9 months to reimburse us for an involuntary de-embarkment, we knew it wouldn't be an easy task to get them to follow through.

Yes, whenever we say "two years" it seems like so much. :P But when I saw, our last year plus 9 more months, it is easier to imagine it going quickly and well. :D
