Has anyone else had their entire mailbox emptied because they had not signed into the account in (according to the provider, and probably true) over a year?  I have an account that I use to store stuff, not really checking it, just sending stuff there.  Today I opened it, it still recognizes me, but it is completely empty. Not a single thing in it.

It is a Yahoo! account. Does anyone know how I can get my info back?

Oh man, that is terrible :( No, I've never heard of that as a thing. How awful.

I would try to contact the company somehow, but I know that what I'm suggesting is an arduous thing, with a dim outlook :(

(My very busy period should end at the beginning of next week. THEN I will be writing to you...emailing, in fact ;-))

Ugh. I just went to check mine, which I haven't used in ages either as you know, and I have content from 5 years back (including all the emails you sent to that account).

I'd try to contact Yahoo to hear if there's a way to get your stuff back. But truth be told, they do kind of suck. :(

Yikes! Never had that happen.

I hope you can recover your information.

Says permanently at the website. But! Timing can be crucial. Scroll down on this page.

I had no idea something like that could actually happen! I also have a similar account for storing stuff, but now that I've heard of this, I might just go buy a USB and download all the important emails and docs as PDFs and save them in the USB. Might turn out to be a lot safer, maybe?

I'm not sure how you can fix the issue, but maybe contacting the Yahoo service team might help? Hopefully you've got it figured out, but if not, I do hope it gets solved soon!
