New Year's Day visitors of the feathered kind

 Sadly, my super macro lens is having technical difficulties, which prevented me from getting good photos of our feathered visitors.  I had to content myself with photographing the birds through the kitchen window and front door window, respectively, zoomed in to the max.

We usually have skads of tits at this time of the year, but so far they are rare and sparrows are our most common visitors to the birdfeeders. :-/

How wonderful! Of course I never see any of these birds because they're European--so lovely to see them here in your photos.

Apart from the nuthatch we have the same birds (plus a score of others), and it's funny to think that we're looking out our windows and seeing the same thing. :)

More regular visitors this year are the wrens. First it was just one, but today I saw two! Sooo tiny and cute! I started feeding with meal worms last winter to attract them specifically, so I guess it's finally paying off
