Cardigan - Take Two

So I ripped out all my rows and started over with a shorter foundation stitch.

When friends saw me starting it a few weeks ago, they asked how long the project would take.  "It depends," was my answer.  :P

This is taking longer than I wanted because of the inertia and lethargy that invaded me at having to start over, not to mention the crazy busy week I just went through.

I am now about 3 rows farther along than I was when I started over, so I hope I am past the hump and make good progress.  We had our first thunderstorm of the fall last night and the temps are steadily getting cooler.  If I want to wear it much this year, it is time to get the (yarn) ball rolling. 

In other news, today is my husband's birthday.  Poor guy; since having a daughter who has a birthday two days before, he has been quite neglected on his special day. :(

Tell J I'm in the same boat: daughter born two days before me! And in October! But since I'm the one who does the cakes in this family, I was able to make us both feel well celebrated ;-)

Keep going with that cardigan! I want to see you in it this winter.

I should make more of an effort, get some more energy so I can really celebrate them both! :/

I hope the cardigan is ready before it gets too cold since the yarn is primarily cotton-based.

Aww, I didn't mean to make you think you had to produce two cakes! To be honest, I can't truly remember what I did--I just know I liked cake, but I don't honestly remember baking two. Maybe/probably what we did was celebrate her birthday close or on her actual birthday and then have something else (*probably* a cake?) on the following weekend for me. And really I just wanted to say because it was me--and not Wakanomori--who had the doubled-up birthday, I could be sure to get my due. Not to put an obligation on you to do two celebrations in as many days!

hehe. Don't worry, I didn't take it like I need to be better or do more out of guilt. :P

Just bemoaning the fact that I would like to feel more energy so that I could make sure J doesn't feel neglected. He is not one to make a fuss over not being made a fuss over, but still. ;)

Yes, and Lebanon has proved that good winter gear is a plus. :P
