'Tis the Season, apparently

I guess the season of power outages has rolled around again. Last year, at about this time, we lost power almost daily for a while. I thought our entire sojourn in Mayotte would be marked by such inconveniences, but they finally stopped altogether. Today, however, we've lost power twice. I don't know how long the first outage lasted (I was at the acquaintance's house, helping her with correspondence in English [and hopefully disproving idiot n°1's claims]), but the second lasted no more than two minutes. If the pattern of last year holds true, our water should be cut off multiple times, too, in the months to come. Better go make sure all those plastic bottles are filled.
