The not-so-short short

...was finished at 2:03 a.m. last night and came in at a whopping 8481 words (and I'm still almost 13K away from my monthly goal *frets*). I have not been brave enough to look at the ending in the cold light of day. I will let it sit for a few before I look at it again.
