Since I don't have a nifty "poll" feature with my freebie account, we'll have to do this the old-fashioned way.

Which title is catchier:

  1. The Traveler's Daughter
  2. The Lily and the Tears
  3. The Sundered Stone

(If you've been following my WIP and have any other ideas, I'm open.  However, I know feedback might be limited since most haven't read more than a third of the book)

I like how you put them all into different colors.

I like number two.

Depends what the book's about.

#1 could be anything (though it implies a female protagonist, at least). I like this one the best, because "Traveler" isn't a word one often sees in book titles. It says cool stuff to me. Either traveling a world, or the Irish gypsies--either way, interesting.

#2 is a little too pat for me. If the book is about the court of ancient China, then "Lily" has a particular meaning. This is my #2 pick. Not a distant #2, but still #2.

#3 is a little naffy for my tastes. Oooooh, the Sundered Stone! ::cue dramatic chord:: It's trying too hard, IMO.

You have seen the Fantasy Title Generator, I hope? And recognized that all three of these titles could turn up (though #1 is the least likely, IMO)?

I like The Lily and the Tears. It's intriguing and poetic. #3 sounds like too many other fantasy novels I've seen. Having said that, The Traveler's Daughter is not a bad title, either. :-)

#1 would be #1.
#2 is #2, and #3 would be third.

Very convenient, that.

I totally dig the Sundered Stone. I haven't read enough of the latest version to know what it refers to, but hey, sundering rocks. ;)
